At this workshop, attendees will learn about state-of-the-art practices and new WERF-developed guidance for optimizing existing wastewater treatment facilities, identifying performance-limiting factors, and re-rating for capacity increases. Specifically, the program will cover:
  • Systematic integrated plant evaluation procedures to optimize and improve effluent quality
  • Protocols for integrated wastewater treatment facilities modeling for re-rating and plant optimization
  • Procedures for field-testing wastewater processes and/or plants
  • Best practices for determining plant capacity
    Insights from utilities that have field-tested the new guidelines to optimize and re-rate their facilities to obtain additional capacity will be discussed.
