W203 Biosolids Process Sidestream Treatment: Selecting the Option That's Right for You Track: Residuals & Biosolids Management ; Facility Operations When: Sunday, October 11, 2009, 8:30am - 5:00pm Where: Orange County Convention Center, Room 304A, Level 3 This workshop will provide participants with key skills to identify and select the appropriate sidestream management method for a variety of operating conditions. Using presentations and interactive exercises, leading experts will discuss the alternatives for controlling ammonia, nitrogen, and phosphorus from dewatering sidestreams. Attendees will learn: The impacts of biosolids treatment processes on sidestream characteristics Why and when sidestream management should be implemented The implications of sidestream treatment requirements on small systems, especially those considering regionalization System treatment options, including pros/cons and design and operational factors Fundamentals for modeling sidestream systems Insights from a variety of sidestream installation case studies Attendance at the workshop will be especially helpful for professionals from plants facing low nitrogen or low phosphorus limits, since in-plant sidestreams from biosolids processing can greatly affect performance of these facilities.
