W105 All You Ever Wanted to Know About IFAS and MBBR But Were Afraid to Ask Track: Facility Operations ; Nutrients When: Saturday, October 10, 2009, 8:30am - 5:00pm Where: Orange County Convention Center, Room 311F, Level 3 Integrated fixed-film activated sludge (IFAS) and moving bed bioreactor (MBBR) technologies can be attractive alternatives for expanding or upgrading municipal wastewater treatment plants. Through presentations, case studies, and exercises, this workshop will provide a deeper understanding of these technologies, their capabilities and limitations, their advantages and disadvantages in comparison to other small-footprint systems, current full-scale operating experience, and when one technology (IFAS or MBBR) is better suited for a particular project.
